Rhizome collective
Rhizome is a collective made up of dance artists Marie Lévêque and Molly Siboulet-Ryan. Their work focuses on creating movement workshops for imprisoned women, where the fundamental values of care and gentle transmission are at the heart of their approach.
Inspired by the Deleuzian concept of rhizomes, the collective adopts it to describe the body as a constantly evolving structure. From this perspective, the body is conceived as a fluid, non-hierarchical entity, expanding in all directions.
The Rhizome collective strives to create a space for artistic and bodily exploration within the prison environment. It offers women the opportunity to connect with their own movement and develop their creative identity.
