Molly Siboulet-Ryan

Molly Siboulet-Ryan is a performer and creator based in Montreal/Tiohtià:ke (Canada) and Dublin (Éire).
After graduating from the School of Contemporary Dance of Montreal in 2020, she joined the Beats collective as a performer, and they were programmed at Code d'Accès and Mutek Montreal 2021.
At the same time, she immerses herself in her own creative project entitled Bloom, with a first solo presented at Zemmourballet's Amène ta Chaise festival, as well as at the Termites festival with two infiltrative art performances in which she explores places and collected testimonies. She conceived a second solo during the Labo Libre residency in Quebec City in 2022.
Through her creative work, Molly attempts to heal the traumas caused by the Catholic Church and the patriarchal society in which women are systematically blamed. She extends her reflection on resilience with an exploration of eroticism and sensuality during a residency supported by Circuit Est in February 2024. The result is a new solo entitled: To that First Last One, which she begins creating with the support of the Canada Council for the Arts.

In October 2024, she begins a new multidisciplinary research project combining digital art, performance and live music. Her aim is to develop a durational performance to be presented in the context of art galleries.

As she regularly goes back to Ireland, she also wishes to develop her artistic practice back home over the next few years.
